Letztes Wochenende waren wir in Frankreich einkaufen. Das machen wir drei- oder viermal im Jahr und decken uns mit Wein und Käse ein. Dieses Mal haben wir beschlossen, nach dem Einkaufen den Drachenbronner Baumwipfelpfad im Elsass zu besuchen. Das hatten wir schon seit langem geplant.
We went shopping in France last weekend. We do this three or four times a year and stock up on wine and cheese. This time we decided to visit the Drachenbronn treetop walk in Alsace after shopping. We had been planning to do this for a long time.
Mit dem Auto kann man nicht direkt bis zum Baumwipfelpfad fahren. Es gibt jedoch einen großen kostenlosen Parkplatz am Ende des Dorfes gegenüber dem Schwimmbad und neben einem Abenteuerspielplatz. Von dort aus kann man entweder in etwa 1,5 Stunden hinaufwandern oder den kostenlosen Shuttleservice, einen umgebauten Traktor mit Sitzanhänger, nutzen. Wir haben uns für den Shuttleservice entschieden.
You cannot drive directly up to the treetop path by car. However, there is a large free parking lot at the end of the village opposite the swimming pool and next to an adventure playground. From there, you can either hike up in around 1.5 hours or use the free shuttle service, a converted tractor with a seat trailer. We opted for the shuttle service.
Der Baumwipfelpfad ist ein beliebtes Ausflugsziel für Naturliebhaber und Familien im Elsass (Frankreich) nahe der deutschen Grenze. Auf einem 1.050 Meter langen Pfad durch den Wald bietet er mit interaktiven Stationen und Informationstafeln Wissenswertes über die heimische Natur. Der Eintritt kostet 15 Euro für Erwachsene. Kinder bis 14 Jahre, Schüler, Studenten, Rentner, Gruppen, Familien und Behinderte zahlen einen ermäßigten Eintrittspreis. Für Kinder unter 6 Jahren ist der Eintritt frei.
The treetop walk is a popular excursion destination for nature lovers and families in Alsace (France) near the German border. Along a 1,050-metre route through the forest, it offers interesting facts about the local natural world with interactive stations and information boards. Admission costs 15 euros for adults. Children up to the age of 14, schoolchildren, students, pensioners, groups, families and the disabled pay reduced admission. Admission is free for children under the age of 6.

In einer Höhe von bis zu 29 Metern bietet der Baumwipfelpfad eine einzigartige Aussicht.
Von oben hat man einen weiten Blick über das Biosphärenreservat Pfälzerwald-Nordvogesen. Wer möchte, kann über eine Rutsche schnell wieder nach unten gelangen.
At a height of up to 29 meters, the treetop walk offers a unique view. From the top, you have a sweeping view over the Palatinate Forest-North Vosges biosphere reserve. If you want, you can quickly get back down again via a slide.
