Visit the Po Teumeuruhom Daya Grave

in CCH10 months ago

Hello Hivers...

In this post I share about my journey when visiting the tomb of Po Teumeuruhom Daya, Indra Jaya sub-district, or commonly called Lamno, Aceh Jaya, Aceh. Aceh is known as an area rich in Islamic history and culture. One of the interesting historical destinations to visit is the tomb of Po Teumeuruhom Daya, a great king of the Daya Kingdom, located in the Aceh Jaya region. Our initial journey from Sigli to Banda Aceh, stopped briefly at the Cut Meutia Banda Aceh hospital to visit one of our sick villagers, then went straight to Lamno, arriving in Lamno at 13.00 we stopped at the Babah Dua Mosque and performed our religious rituals.

From Babah Dua Mosque we continued our journey to the place of Aba Asnawi Lamno, one of the religious leaders who died a few days ago, after performing samadiah and eating at Aba Asnawi Lamno's place, we went straight to the tomb of Po Teumeuruhom Daya located in Gle Jong village, Jaya sub-district, Aceh Jaya, Aceh. Once there we went straight to the tomb complex. The tomb of Po Teumeuruhom Daya is located on a hill, to reach the tomb complex visitors must climb stairs.

At that time it coincided with Thursday, so many visitors came. Only the tomb complex that I could photograph, while the tomb was not allowed to be photographed, because it was prohibited by the tomb guard. The tomb is located on a hill and surrounded by the Indian Ocean, we can enjoy the natural beauty that is very pleasing to the eye, like the islands in the middle of the sea.

After praying in the tomb and taking some photos, we headed home. On the way home we stopped at several places such as Geurute and Leupung. In Geureutee we just took a break while enjoying coffee. Geureutee also has a very extraordinary view.

From Geureute we continued our journey home and stopped at Leupueng to buy souvenirs in the form of salted fish. Leupueng is one of the sub-districts in Aceh Besar district that produces salted fish. Fish that are obtained directly from the sea are processed by the residents of Leupueng and sold to users of the Banda Aceh - Meulaboh highway or commonly called the west route. In addition to Geureute and Leupueng, we also stopped at Samahani, Saree and Simpang Beutong. In Samahani we stopped to buy bread with Samahani jam, in Saree to buy cassava chips, while in Simpang Beutong we bought fruits such as papaya, bananas and cucumbers..

Visiting the tomb of Po Teumeuruhom is not only about historical tourism, but also a form of respect for the struggle of the ancestors of Aceh. In addition, tourists can enjoy the beauty of the surrounding nature and feel the local wisdom that is still preserved in the area.

If you visit Aceh, don't miss the opportunity to stop by the tomb of Po Teumeuruhom Daya and explore the historical traces of the glory of Islam in this Land of Rencong. That's all my posts on this occasion, I hope my friends like it, thank you very much to my friends who have read my posts.
