here are some of my different types of hoverfly photo collections.
i used nikon dslr D80 and D7100.
lens 60mm f2.8D. i do have an extention tube with 50mm f1.8D that i rarely use for macro since it's slower and harder to used.
All was shot with SB800 external flash.

These are magnificent macro shots, I can understand the patience it must have took to get the hoverflies in focus during flight, they are very fast and small I was attempting somthing like this during the summer, but I think yours are so much better than my first attempt.
