I have never really been East of the Mississippi (Colorado here) but from what I have seen from the NorthEast over the years.
It just seems like a wannabe-EU, so I was not surprised.
but I feel you. It is awful when your fellow Americans let you down.
Maybe people will wake up next election cycle and get rid of the rats.

Unfortunately we don’t have much choice usually/. The two party system has things on lock. We shall see. But it’s pretty bad here. Might move honestly. But waiting to see what’s what for a few months first.
