For me, it's the good ol' PayPal story.
My failure was putting all my eggs in one basket and relying on a payment processor, where the writing was on the wall that the end was coming.
They shut down my account after 17 years, no reason given....And I had to rebuild everything.
I relied so much on one processor and never thought I'd be hurt by that companies decisions. But alas, we learned from it and started focusing on crypto as a much more solid option.
This is a valuable lesson for us all. All of my life I have heard do not put all your eggs in one basket. Never have I applied that to common business practices. It does set the perfect tone for risk assessment. Very thought-provoking post.
Ya what a surprise that was. I watched many programs I belonged to do a lot of scrambling when PayPal started screwing around.
It actually was a good thing though because now we have much better options and don't have to work with dishonest companies.
Do you have multiple processors now or is it just HivePay right now?
HivePay, Stripe and soon to integrate Coinbase Commerce.
So grateful you were able to come back and relaunch CTP and introduce me to the Crypto world. The last couple of years have been my best so far and can only get better.
