The first thing I would point out is very low fees for both the customer and seller. The second thing would be the fact that accepting payments with crypto and Hive or CTP tokens in particular opens them up to a wider customer base since there are people who are unable to have bank accounts or credit cards but can use Hive and CTP tokens to make purchases. And the advantage for sellers of being able to get their money instantly and not have to wait 30, 60 or 90 days to get the money in their bank accounts. And they can't get shut down either. So, there's that too.
I have experiences only from the customer side with CTP and Hive. Very positive experiences. For example, I paid for a subscription with Firepay and the owner flaked so I was having trouble getting a hold of him. Blain showed me the link in the receipt email and how to find my subscription in Firepay and cancel it from there. Very easy to do.
Just wondering, what is Firepay? I don't think I have heard of it before.
Before Hivepay, there's Firepay! it's an IPN, an easier way to go through payments for cards and crypto, and a use-case for CTP Tokens was born as well. Some advertising programs and my program for example uses it. Hivepay came afterward and this one is more complete meaning with it you can accept other Hive Engine Tokens, HIVE and HBD.
I'm using both at the moment on my program so I accept a few other tokens besides CTP :)

I really don't have a lot of money changing hands. I like the fact that if someone doesn't like you they cant get you shut down. To me that alone is a plus. I also love the fact that there is no waiting period to get your payment.
The whole no censorship thing is huge for me. I am so tired of being told that I can't view something because it offends someone else. I am not forcing them to watch it. Whatever happened to being able to ignore what you don't like? My husband likes scary movies and I don't. He watches them while I work. 😀

Having access to banks and credit cards is another one of those things that I took for granted. Until recently I never knew it was an issue for people in other countries. 😀
