I would see my friends investing because they could do more than I could in financial terms. They bet here and there and I always went after them. I even lost what I could and often what I needed. That's why you should never invest more than you can lose.
I learned from my mistakes.
That is a lesson with some difficult consequences. Investing only what we can afford to lose, can be difficult when we are positive of pending success.
We have to play our own game and not just blindly follow what others are doing. Happy you learned from your mistakes and are doing your own thing now.
Yes we have to learn from our mistakes many times the envy of other people and trying to achieve results too fast just because a friend of ours has already achieved and we don't want to be left behind, we can lose everything. That's why there's a popular saying that goes slowly if you get far. Step by step, nothing is achieved without effort and dedication.
And don't do anything that doesn't feel right because of the Fear of Missing Out (FOMO)
