The tsunami museum is a museum in Banda Aceh which was designed and built as a monument to commemorate the 2004 Aceh earthquake and tsunami. This museum is also useful as a means of disaster education for the global community

This museum has a unique and interesting design other than that every corner of this museum teaches and has some philosophy. one of them is a prayer well. Inside the prayer well are the names of the victims who died during the earthquake and tsunami. This well room is dark and above it is the word Allah.

besides the prayer well, there is also a bridge of hope. this bridge is located after visitors come out of the prayer well the road to this bridge is circular. when visitors arrive at the bridge a glimmer of light will welcome. this signifies a bright hope to meet a happy future.
