This morning there was a bit of snow forecast. There was nothing in the village but as I drove for about ten minutes to a place called Stonedge Wood, we had a smattering of snow. I parked up in a layby and entered the wood.

There had been enough snow to settle on the trees and bracken. It was a bit dull on this part of the wood so the snow made it look quite pretty in places.

There were a few obstacles on the footpath, either it was flooded or a tree had fallen in my way. They were quite easy to navigate, though but as usual my feet got very wet.

There is a field at the top end of the wood. Up to this point the autumn colours had been fairly dull but after this, the colours started to pop.

The temperature has definitely dropped this past week. My shorts have been packed up for the winter. It is hat, scarf and gloves all the way!
