A View from the Top

in Photography4 days ago

It was another piss wet morning so I only had a short walk to blow the cobwebs away. I parked in a little car park at the side of the lane. If I were lucky, I might just miss the rain that was looming overhead.

The stone wall at the beginning of the walk was covered in a green velvety moss.

Along the way there was a wooden bench. On a warm day, it would have been very inviting to sit there and look at the scenery, but far too cold this morning.

I came to a wooden stile, but I decided to stick to the footpath as the field looked too muddy. It was definitely getting darker in the distance.

The view from the top was really impressive with everything looking a lush green.

I followed the narrow footpath along the top. I'm pleased it wasn't too windy as there was quite a drop on the right hand side. I wouldn't want to get blown over.

All the bracken has died off for the winter months leaving a lovely orangey brown colour. For once, I missed the rain.
