Cyclone Francis

Sometime in the middle of January, an atmospheric vortex hit the European part of Russia. Vologda got hurt too. Until now, utilities are "cleaning up" the consequences of this snowfall.

It looks like a normal snowfall, but if you go out into the open, the wind blows away.

Such snowstorms usually occur in February.

Of course, this is not Kamchatka...Yes, I have seen much stronger snow storms more than once in my life.

But still the consequences are still visible in the form of huge snowdrifts and caps on the branches of trees.

Wind speed is usually important, not the intensity of snowfall.

As I said before, it doesn't look like some kind of storm.

Short-term snow charges can be much more epic, but they don't do as much good as fine snow with strong winds.

Because of the wind, snow literally penetrates into all the cracks and clogs everything like sand.

Even the structure of blizzard snow is very similar to sand.

This cyclone did not bring any special problems to the urban environment, except for public utilities.

But the highways at the entrance to Vologda literally stopped due to numerous accidents.

I wish there was another cyclone like this! I don't have enough snow...

After this snowfall, frosts began, during which it does not snow at all.

Winter is raiding this year.

Well, frosts are also needed, but snowfalls are more interesting.

It's good that they are given names – they are better remembered and these snowfalls have some kind of soul or something...

Give me another snowFall!
