Dugouts in Ananyino. Another place

in Photography5 days ago (edited)

Ananyino is one of the first places where the project on documenting dugout cellars began. It is a former settlement on the outskirts of Vologda, now a neighborhood of the city.

First, I found the dugouts behind Ananyino, that is, near a country village adjacent to the settlement.

Then I accidentally discovered the cellars visually (not on the map) on the banks of the Vologda River near the M8 bypass highway.

This time I found them in about the same place, but on the opposite side of the highway. Anagnino is divided in half by this highway, and for some reason I have never looked into the other part, although I studied the map and did not see anything there.

There are few of them here, all of them are quite capital – the base is made of brick.

I had suspicions about their presence in this place, but they were in no way confirmed by the location on the map.

I had to explore physically, that is, come and walk along the river.

Finally, I went to check on the ones I've already studied... and unfortunately, in almost two years their number has decreased dramatically...
