After last winter, I stopped liking any frosts at all. Let me remind you that the winter at the beginning of 2021 was abnormally frosty. I don't know if for a long time or permanently, but now I absolutely do not expect frost.

I agree to a comfortable frost that was down to -20.

This is all a small digression from the topic that I would like to talk about.

Every day I publish all sorts of photographic content on various resources. With this, criticism began to arise more and more often.

I will answer you here and now, what my photographs mean to me and the rest.

I photograph for the local news agency and for myself. That's all. There are still sometimes corporate orders.

I participated in contests several times at the very beginning of my photographic career. These were immediately the first places.

Then my photographs were used in several books in large numbers. One of the books contained as many as 70% of my photographs.

From the regional newspaper I moved to the regional one. My photographs are evaluated by photographers from TASS, Reuters, Kommersant and Izvestia.

Do I need to prove something else to someone...or all those people who use or just evaluate my photos do not understand anything at all?

Yes, and I myself have eyes, I see who is shooting and how, since there is absolutely everything on the Internet now!

I've heard criticism before. There are no ideal creative people - someone may not like it anyway!

The point is different: who is this criticism from? If from a person who does not know how to shoot at all, who is stuck at some stage, or who even has nothing to do with the photography business, should I somehow react to him at all?
And if a person who is higher than me in skill expressed something to me, then I will only be glad of it!
I find these photos to be quite beautiful and authentic. The churches are incredible! The domes are so unique. The lighting is quite stellar, as well.
I can relate somewhat to your thoughts as to the criticism of your work by others. I do seek input on my writing projects, but there is a large part of me that believes that my own style is purposeful and authentic, and important to preserve even when weaving feedback into my processes.
Thanks for sharing your work and your thoughts. I appreciate them very much.
Cheers!
