Moscow spotted street. Part 2

Spotty Street is easy to shoot where there are a lot of objects: cars, people, buildings, height differences, poles, advertising signs and all other urban infrastructure. And you try to create such a carpet where there is none of this!

The brightest and most colorful street shots are in Asia, respectively, where street trade and street life in general are developed. Well, the population there is ten times more.

What about us? Especially in winter, where can I get spots?

And people don't always equal spots – they are also shadows, lights, highlights, backgrounds, plans, cars...

You need to see the overall scene so that everything is evenly distributed.

If some part of the frame is overloaded with light or shadow, then this is not bad, but this is no longer a spotty theme, but more a classic street, which is located at a slightly different frequency and is shot according to different principles.

The smaller and more diverse the objects are by nature, the better it is to create a pattern.

Of course, you need to pay attention to overlapping accents: combinations of colors of people's clothes and other objects, repetitive and similar silhouettes and lines, but different in nature.

That is, the silhouette of a person may overlap with a similar-shaped silhouette of some urban element, etc.

But it's not going to work out that way for each frame, so I shoot everything that steals attention, and then I choose the most interesting subjects from the whole shoot.

It is not necessary to be a maestro in combining different objects, sometimes the usual view, but taken unusually is already worthy of attention.

Over the years of filming and reviewing photos, I've figured out how to create the best shots.

This is a multi-year selection from a ton of personnel.

And photographers show only a small part of their best pictures, which gives the impression that he is a master.

But in fact, he has a huge number of average takes that just lie dead weight or are generally deleted over time.

Everyone shows only the best.

But selection is also an art.

You need to know what to show, what is worthy of attention, what can really interest you.

And this is a lot of watching and at least some kind of recognition. Otherwise, how to understand what is good and what is not.

I also have a lot of takes, but I choose the best ones from them, and I choose one frame from the best ones, which I then show.

The street scene is always alive and constantly changing, so you have to catch the moment.
