In Vologda, not every year, but literally every day, new monuments and art objects appear. This makes me very happy as a photographer in documentary and reportage plans. Imagine, the whole city will be covered in monuments: people will be indignant, and I will take pictures!

A huge monument to tsar Ivan IV the Terrible has appeared on the renovated Kremlin Square.

Also, missing elements that were broken by vandals were repaired and returned to other monuments.

There are also a lot of murals in Vologda! Graffiti on almost every facade of a multi-storey building. This will also be captured by me.

Everything around is changing and it makes me raise my backside and go take pictures.

For documentary photography, context is not important, there is no good or bad, the main thing is change!

I even photographed the opening of the monument to Ivan the Terrible for TASS.

So this is interesting for the federal news agenda.

And if Vologda (if not already) is in the first place in terms of the number of murals (graffiti on buildings), then this is also a very important topic for documentation.

To date, I have almost completely disconnected from the reporting wave.

Almost? Yes, I can't switch off 100%, because my work is still related to the reportage genre.

But now I'm more immersed in the documentary landscape.

The Dead pan style is also interesting...it turns out that I shot almost all the courtyards of Vologda in this style.

And yes, I also want to photograph courtyards, but not in the same way as before...without spots, in short.

In general, I'm familiar with this frequency that I'm on now, but I haven't connected to it for a very long time.

So that's what my creative path needs.
