Noctilucent clouds

in Photography5 years ago

Relatively recently I learned about the existence of such a rare phenomenon as noctilucent clouds. And then I saw it by chance during a night walk. I had to capture it!

It turns out that noctilucent clouds are the highest clouds that form in the atmosphere. This phenomenon is not well understood. They are known to be illuminated by the sun because of their height.

It seemed to me incomprehensible why they are so attractive to landscape photographers.

A much more exciting activity for me is chasing the northern lights or thunderstorms.

Or it will be much more interesting to watch how a hefty moon-shaped orange slowly rolls over the horizon.

I have not heard about it so far. Or at least I do not remember. As I remember, this is the first time I hear about noctilucent clouds.

You are lucky that you can do that. I mean the northern lights part. Nowadays I live in Hungary, and I have not visited any other countries so far, and the northern lights are very rarely visible in this country. I have not seen the northern lights in real life so far. Just/only on photos and on videos.
