Paradox of reportage photography-2

in Photography4 years ago

Who is it all for? In fact, news agencies need reportage photography first of all, and then various print and online media buy it there. But there are also media outlets that have their own photographer on staff.

Although photography is depreciating rapidly, it is still widely in demand in everyday life.

Competition among photographers and agencies in general has only increased very strongly.

It turns out almost a race for efficiency.

Whoever publishes a snapshot of the event first is in the top.

But the photographer suffers from this data transfer rate. And along with this, the image itself may suffer.

Sometimes you have to choose: to be creative and waste time, or to click a trivial plot, but before everyone else.

Unfortunately, almost everyone doesn't care about the plot. Take a picture with your smartphone, but if only it was as fast as possible...

Later, after the event, some news media can attach a photo report with a large number of photos.

On Instagram you saw a photo of "Scarlet Sails" in St. Petersburg. Do you know what the photographers went through for this picture and what was the competition?

The larger the city and the more serious the Internet resource or publication, the faster the material is needed.

The more serious the event, the tougher the selection and the more difficult the implementation of the coverage of the event.

And everything is simple for me - flowers, leaves. Light photo report about spring.

But it seems so. Even I have competition.

You must always keep yourself in good shape, otherwise reportage in the form of competition will gobble up.

Come on, not everything is as serious as I described!

You just don't need to lose your grip and be always in trend. So in any area!
