Smartphone photography–2024. Part 2

Several times a year, I have a desire to take pictures only on my smartphone. I already know that this is such a creative wave, but I have not yet understood why it arises and what it entails.

I have already learned that street photography is a mobile genre, after which it seems like a stimulant has taken over (in the form of coffee or tea mate, of course).

The night landscape among the courtyards and dugouts, on the contrary, relaxes, makes you think about the high.

There are all the same genres in smartphone photography, but it feels completely different while shooting.

And after you take a picture on your smartphone and take a DSLR in your hands, you don't want to look at photos from a mobile device at all.

But still, from time to time I return to smartphone photography.

If I were shooting only on my smartphone, I would post all the best pictures on social media.

But when there is better technology, then you don't want to mix photos from a smartphone with pictures of a different nature.

I even have two Instagram accounts: one for smartphone photography, the other for pictures from a DSLR.

I'm used to dividing everything everywhere into levels, frequencies, and dimensions.

In general, I like order, consistency and structuring in many ways.

And for someone, it doesn't matter what and when it was shot, the main thing is to show it. And this also has the right to exist.

After all, not only photographers show differently, but the audience also perceives differently.

For example, I don't care what was filmed or how...It's important to me who.

It may be a super high-quality, beautiful picture, but if it was taken by a photographer unknown to me, about whose identity I know nothing, then such a picture may not interest me.

And maybe you will be interested!

Then I begin to study not only the work of this photographer, but also his personality, his opinion and outlook on life.
