Snow caps

in Photography10 hours ago

The main feature of this winter is the snow caps. The December sticky snow fell intensively, then the frost caught up and these caps last all winter (two days left)! The most unique weather phenomenon!!!

I used to hunt for snow trees, as it was an unstable phenomenon.

If snow fell, it didn't last long and the winds blew away all the caps.

The trees have been covered in snow all winter – this has never happened before!

Well, hats are a feature of the winter of 2025-2026.

I don't think I've taken enough pictures of them...We need even more!

I wonder what the spring feature will be?

The caps are mostly placed on fences and fence posts.

There are also many snow caps on the branches of trees, and especially on bushes.

Therefore, the caps will flash in my posts until they disappear.

But with snowdrifts, somehow everything does not add up.

Maybe spring is needed for this?

After all, the texture of snow appears when it melts.

It is noteworthy that even strong gusts of wind during snowstorms did not knock the caps off the branches.

After all these snowfalls, it would be necessary to visit the forest again.

If it was fabulously snowy in early January, then what is there now?

Usually, by February, I'm already unbearably bored with winter.

For the first time in my life, I don't want it to end until at least March.

Of course, I would not trade the singing of nightingales, the smell of damp earth and the appearance of the first greenery for anything.

I'm just wondering how far this winter can go.

I also found an interesting "toy" called "snow depth" on Yandex maps.

And now I know where it's better for me to go for the snow-covered plots.

In our region, of course, this depth does not vary much, on average 65 cm.

In the northeast of the region, the snow depth reaches 75 cm, and in the west it starts from 50 cm.

Well, now you understand that there can be no talk of any dugouts...

You can only get to places where there are roads and they are cleaned.

Spring is in two days...
