Good evening, Hive! What a weird day. Sort of a 50/50 split of relentless work, creativity and output, and another half of just lounging and laying around in bed. I’ve definitely cracked the formula on writing my novel. The real secret was letting go of the perfectionism and expectation that it wouldn’t be good. With that shed, and a discipline to just sit in front of the screen, it’s been coming rather easily. I crossed 5,000 words this evening and had a lot of fun writing in @lovejoy’s character to the second chapter.
After that, I did start editing and that’s what I’ll be sharing tonight here on the blog. Still staying with my Australia and New Zealand clients, this was back to Melbourne, VIC. The shoot was with a prominent curvy Australian pinup model named Lady Medusa. This particular day was madness. I’d somehow mixed up three shoots, thinking they were the following date. Hard lessons learning on flying to the other wise of the world. Fortunately, I keep my camera battery charged and was able to get my game face on rather quick.
Lady Medusa had booked a small […and I do mean small] but cute AirBnB right in download Melbourne. Coming up the stairs, after we introduced ourselves, I eyed the room. Small rooms are always a challenge because I shoot with exclusively a 50mm and 35mm lens. She was a total professional, starting off in a slip and lingerie set, knowing her poses, taking wonderful direction. Working with a model of her calibre, I felt that my game was upped as well. We managed to wrap this shoot in 90 minutes, which was lovely.
Tomorrow, I’ll have @guthrie home for his first day of homeschooling. I received his academics and a message from his teacher with what he’ll have to complete during the day. Should be interesting. My hope is to still find some time for writing, keeping the momentum going on the novel. @coppercoins is out in the mail. There are a few here on the blockchain that ordered copies.
