Hello Everyone!
Our recent visit to the Taoist Temple in Cebu City was a peaceful and meaningful experience. This temple is known to be one of the oldest and most visited religious sites in Cebu. It’s not only a place of worship but also a popular tourist spot because of its beautiful architecture and serene surroundings.
Since taking photos inside the temple is not allowed, I’ll just share this picture of the temple’s exterior and the sign explaining the Taoist procedures. The temple is situated on a hill, offering a scenic view of the city, and the atmosphere instantly gives you a sense of calm and reflection.
One of the interesting practices here is the use of a pair of kidney-shaped wooden blocks to communicate with God. Visitors ask questions, then drop the blocks to receive answers — “yes,” “no,” or “maybe.” It was fascinating to take part in this ritual, and we also asked our own questions, hoping for guidance.
The visit reminded me that faith can come in many forms, and every religion offers a way to connect with something higher. Whether you’re visiting for spiritual reasons or simply to appreciate the culture, the Taoist Temple is definitely worth the trip.
