I’ve warmed up indoors but my cheeks are still flushed. Not sure if I’m coming down with something or if it’s just the beginning of our brutal winter.
I realize that it’s been over a week since my last post. Time is flying by and it’s definitely because of the holiday season. I had a couple of meltdowns because I had no idea how I’d get gifts for all the kids in my family. After some consideration, I decided to make handmade presents for each child. They’re at an age where they can appreciate the gesture. Last year, I gifted a bunch of random toys since I wasn’t given a clear list. Most of the kids couldn’t decide what they wanted, probably because they already have everything they want. Spoiled much? Haha! I’ll have to share the photos for my handmade gift in a future post. I’m also hoping to order/purchase all remaining gifts this week, wish me luck!
Right now I’m at @caffetto. I drove straight here after work and I have no regrets. It’s warm, toasty and I got myself a paradise peach tea. I watched @kommienezuspadt and @tarotbyfergus duke it out in magic. I had to stop writing to join in. Slow start to my first game which resulted in a loss but I’m not mad about. I’m coming out of Magic retirement so I knew it would take a couple of games before I got back into the swing of things.
A little about this photo. I went back to one of my most recent sets to find another edit to share. I loved this collection and kinda wished that I had taken more photos but the day was testing me. I’ve been itching to take photos but I usually pass out once I’m home. @kommienezuspadt threw a couple of ideas at me and we’re planning to shoot soon so be on the lookout for that. Tonight I might edit a summer set of images of my best friend since I miss her dearly. Right now she’s in Spain, we haven’t spoken because of our schedules and I feel like she’d be thrilled to see new edits of our shoot together.
We made handmade artsy craftsy gifts this year as well, and really I think it is better than spending money on some plastic crap toys. For our own kids we let them pick a toy out now and then at a thrift store for fifty cents and they are just as delighted as if we spent $20 on it new.
