In this post I show a photo of one of the most famous beaches in Montevideo: Pocitos located at Río de la Plata it is an estuary and the water is very salty. This part of the city was built in the beginning of the 20th century but the majority of the building are from the 40’s and 50’s. It was urbanized in a similar style of Copacabana in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Spot the reflections of the building on the waters of the beach.
We can say it is a “urban seascape”, even though it is not properly at the sea.
The camera used was a Sony DSC-R1 and the edition was done in Gimp.
Hoy les muestro una foto de una de las playas más famosas de Montevideo: Pocitos, ubicada en el Río de la Plata el cual es un estuario y el agua es bastante salada. Este barrio de la ciudad fue desarrollado a principios del siglo XX, sin embargo la mayoría de las construcciones actuales son de las décadas de los 40 y 50. Este sector de la ciudad fue urbanizado en un estilo muy similar a Copacabana en Rio de Janeiro, Brasil.
Noten el reflejo de los edificios en las aguas de la playa.
Se puede decir que la fotografía es un “paisaje marino urbano”, aunque no esté en la costa marina propiamente dicho.
La cámara que utilicé fue una Sony DSC-R1 y la edición la realicé en Gimp.
The water and sky make the photo even more perfect, the addition of the clouds is also very beautiful, I really like this kind of scenery.
