For this week, I have chosen to perform a song that is originally Highlight. The song in question is "Iyawo Mi" by Timi Dakolo. Iyaiwo Mi is simply translated to mean "my wife" in Yoruba language. In the song Iyawo Mi, Timi Dakolo simply said beautiful things to the love of his life. It is a type of song that could brighten the face our partner in seconds, it is song that every woman would love to hear from the one they love to them.

Iyawo Mi is a beautiful highlife song; the type that is accompanied by mild and easy going percussion. A kind of song that could force one to nod their head, and mildly move their body to the rhythm it conveys even when they will not. That notwithstanding, I will be performing it in a unique way today. I will be doing it with just the piano sound from my keyboard. The version I will be performing is nothing like the original, but it is unique and I hope you enjoy it.
