Hello everyone, this is @fab-tay and I'm glad to be making my debut in jamming zone especially this week 10. Special thanks to @edwardstobia @yisusth and other organisers for this great initiative that brings out creativity in us musicians. For this week, i will be jamming a favorite beat of mine which is a makosa beat. I grew up with this beat as some of the famous songs by artistes i knew back then here in Nigeria were composed in this beat.
Hola a todos, soy @fab-tay y estoy feliz de hacer mi debut en jamming Zone especialmente esta semana 10. Un agradecimiento especial a @edwardstobia @yisusth y otros organizadores por esta gran iniciativa que saca a relucir la creatividad en nosotros los músicos. Durante esta semana, tocaré uno de mis ritmos favoritos, que es el ritmo makosa. Crecí con este ritmo, ya que algunas de las canciones famosas de artistas que conocí en ese entonces aquí en Nigeria se compusieron en este ritmo.
Makosa beat is a danceable beat with characteristic dance involving a special body gesture, body twisting and rolling hands. I love this beat/genre because it allows creativity especially the soloing involving sweet melodies. Also, some scales can be included in this beat as it allows such into it depending on the instinctiveness and creativity of the musician.
El ritmo de Makosa es un ritmo bailable con una danza característica que implica un gesto corporal especial, torsión del cuerpo y movimientos de las manos. Me encanta este ritmo/género porque permite la creatividad, especialmente los solos que involucran melodías dulces. Además, se pueden incluir algunas escalas en este ritmo, ya que lo permite dependiendo del instinto y la creatividad del músico.
One major thing that i love about music is the dynamic nature and creativity involved in it same with other artistic endeavors. I believe that music world is the hub of ideas as it reflects in the style of play of each musician and a good expression of all these qualities can be seen in the makosa beat which made me feel in love with the beat.
Una cosa importante que me encanta de la música es la naturaleza dinámica y la creatividad que implica, al igual que otros esfuerzos artísticos. Creo que el mundo de la música es el centro de ideas, ya que se refleja en el estilo de interpretación de cada músico y una buena expresión de todas estas cualidades se puede ver en el ritmo makosa que me enamoró del ritmo.
I did this instrumental jamming using my electric keyboard 🎹 aswell as the instrumental been a loop extracted using the moises app. I intentionally used the guitar voicing on my keyboard because it best suits this instrumental purpose as this voicing allows for good finger work display, good soloing, running of scales and some other things.
Hice esta improvisación instrumental usando mi teclado eléctrico 🎹 y el instrumental fue un loop extraído usando la aplicación moises. Utilicé intencionalmente la voz de guitarra en mi teclado porque se adapta mejor a este propósito instrumental, ya que esta voz permite una buena visualización del trabajo de los dedos, buenos solos, escalas y algunas otras cosas.
I chose this makosa instrumental play for this week's jamming zone so as to inspire someone to a happy and melodious new week and to bring this beat into limelight for those who didn't know about it or to stir up interest of it in other musicians. Hello friend, hey that´s a very lively rythm, very catchy! i enjoyed your performance a lot, good job! one suggestion i would make is that you try to make your video a little longer, at least 2 minutes, other than that it was very cool to hear this rythm from you friend, i didnt knew about it, it certainly has a nice vibe to it, congrats! and thank you for joining Jamming Zone week 10!
