Writing "Touch Your Heart" was a spiritual experience 🤗. I was in a season of deep reflection and intimacy with God, and the words just flowed out of me . It was like I was channeling something bigger than myself . The lyrics poured out in a mix of emotions, prayers, and whispers to God 💖.
The part that says "Let the lifting of my hands touch your heart, and let the singing of my songs touch your heart, and even my devotions touch your heart" .. that's the heartbeat of the song for me. It's a surrender, a plea to God to be moved by my worship, not just my actions, but my heart 💖. I wanted to convey that it's not about the outward expressions, but the inward posture – a heart that's yielded and wanting to touch God's heart 💞.
I want to perform this in the #hmf community because it feels like a space where people understand the power of worship 🎶. I'd love to lead others into that same place of surrender and intimacy with God . Imagine everyone lifting their hands, singing those words, and truly meaning it 🙌. There's something powerful about collective worship, and I believe this song can create a moment of connection with God and with each other .
