Hello! How are you? Welcome to this temporary musical space. Yes, I've been away for a few months, and it's not the same as before, but who knows, things always change, but one always wants to use this space as a tool and a way to express one's art, visit some old friends, and show what one has been doing. It's been five years (almost six) since I started on Hive, and I've had all kinds of experiences, but obviously, everything has helped me grow and become more confident as a musician, or more than that, as an artist. I never celebrated my years here, nor did I make a dedication post, but I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your support, for your work, and for the beautiful concept that is Hive, because what matters is the essence, and the essence is given by the soul of the being, which is precisely what I want to talk to you about.
I started studying at UNEARTE a while ago, clearly because I needed a degree. One always learns, but to be honest, I am there to obtain that degree, since it is quite difficult to get into other universities such as UCV, for example, and the others either do not offer anything related to art or are extremely expensive.
At UNEARTE, I have witnessed an evil that prevails in Venezuelan musical society, which I had already seen before and even fell victim to at one point, but anyway, I turned a blind eye to it. Even so, I see that it is quite negative and deeply rooted. I call it “distorted thinking” or “empty knowledge.” Let me explain: The orchestra system has done wonderful things, teaching music to everyone (because even I studied there), and so far so good. The thing is, as I imagine many of you already know, that in those orchestras or conservatories elsewhere, they focus on technical and perfectionist aspects and not on the essence of music: “feeling” or being able to connect with yourself in order to connect with others. They don't teach originality or independence. In short, they often train musicians but not artists.
I feel that we must have an original vision when it comes to performing and composing. As I said, we must connect with ourselves and the story of the song in order to convey something. Hundreds of concepts and knowledge are useless if we don't have soul when we play. This is something that can be applied to everything in life. If we get lost in the form, we will never find the essence. I would like to elaborate more on the subject, but I think the idea is clear enough. The song I'm playing today obviously talks about all this.

¡Hola! ¿Cómo estás? Bienvenido o bienvenido a este espacio musical pasajero. Si, he estado ausente unos meses, ya no es lo mismo de antes, pero quién sabe, las cosas siempre cambian, pero uno siempre desea utilizar este espacio como una herramienta y una forma de manifestar su arte, visitar a algunos viejos amigos y mostrar lo que uno viene haciendo. Ya son 5 años (casi 6) desde que empecé en hive, y he vivido experiencias de todo tipo, pero, obviamente, todo me ha servido para mí crecimiento y mi seguridad como músico, o más que eso, como artista. Nunca celebre mis años aquí ni tampoco hice post de dedicatoria, pero quisiera aprovechar este espacio para agradecer a todos ustedes, por su apoyo, por su trabajo y por el bello concepto que es hive, porque lo que importa es la esencia, y la esencia la otorga el alma del ser, justamente, de esto último vengo a hablarles.
Empecé a estudiar en UNEARTE hace un tiempo, claramente por la necesidad de un título, uno siempre aprende, pero si les soy sincero, estoy ahí para obtener dicho título, ya que es bastante difícil ingresar a otra universidades como la UCV por ejemplo, y las demás bueno, o no dan nada de arte o son sumamente costosas.
En UNEARTE he sido testigo de un mal que prevalece en la sociedad musical venezolana, el cuál ya había presenciado, e incluso llegué a ser víctima de el en algún momento, pero bueno, hice la vista gorda, aún asi, veo que es bastante negativo y está muy arraigado. Yo le llamo "pensamiento desvirtuado" o "conocimiento vacío" te explico: El sistema de orquesta ha hecho cosas maravillosas, impartiendo música para todos (porque hasta yo estudié ahí) hasta ahí estamos bien, lo que pasa es, cosa que me imagino que ya varios saben aquí, que en esas orquestas o conservatorios de otros lados, se enfocan en aspectos técnicos y perfeccionistas y no en la esencia de la música: "el sentimiento" o el poder conectar contigo mismo para conectar con los demás. No enseñan originalidad ni independencia, en pocas palabras, muchas veces se formas músicos pero no artistas.
Siento que debemos tener una visión original a la hora de interpretar y componer, como dije, conectar con uno mismo y la historia de la canción para poder transmitir algo. De nada nos sirve los cientos de conceptos y conocimientos si no tenemos alma a la hora de tocar. Esto es algo que se puede aplicar a todo en la vida. Si nos perdemos en la forma jamás vamos a encontrar la escencia. Quisiera extenderme más con el tema, pero creo que hasta aquí se entiende la idea. La canción que estoy tocando hoy, obviamente, habla de todo esto.
