Lavender never survives the winter, for me.
Echinacea - I have lots of it! Nature's bird feeder! Sadly, mine is no the true native version of coneflower. I did have some, but it died off, and the hybrid version flourishes here.
Lamium and vinca are keeping your poison ivy down?
My colonies of vinca (periwinkle) in the north woods have kept the garlic mustard down, but not the ivy. I have been digging and pulling all the vinca and tiger lily from the south woods but have given up on the north... just too, too, too much...
