spring-tides

The tides of time have pulled me
to the churning intersection
of a hist'ry tinged with sorrow
as the muted hues of dusk play
with the fiery hope of sunlight —
here they meet and make illusions,
in my heart I sense the realness
but with eyes see only shadows
of the essence under time.

New reasons manufactured
by naive and cheerful spirit
why this life is worth the living
in the middle of a maelstrom —
with the wraith of death still looming
under threat of certain damage,
in the midst of smoky warzone
all the grass is new in spring.

It is the nature that takes the damage of our commercial missteps and will grow from the nutrients we spill upon the soil with our carrion.

I think it is a life worth living when you can thrive in the shadows and become on with the nature, as it was eons ago.
