The nutritional properties of Ash Gourd (White pumpkin)

Ash gourd, scientifically termed as Benincasa hispida, also called wax gourd, winter gourd, white pumpkin, winter melon, Chinese watermelon, is a fruit native to parts of Southern Asia. It is very large fruit and eaten as a vegetable when mature.
This green vegetable has been well-regarded for its significant medicinal values since ancient times and is widely documented in Ayurvedic texts.

Nutritional value :

Ash gourd comprises 96% water. It has zero cholesterol and rich in fiber. It is very low in calories, fat, protein, and carbs. It provides small amounts of various nutrients.

We have these plants at our home and they have started to give rise fruits for quite a while.
