Hola gente de Hive!, con mucha alegría me presento ante esta hermosa Comunidad esperando sea de su agrado este post en el cual les hablaré un poco acerca de mí.

El Humano || The Human
Mi nombre es Espartaco Valdez (sí es mi nombre real), Tengo 30 años de edad y soy Venezolano, nací en Caracas donde también me residencié los últimos 11 años, actualmente vivo en Ciudad Bolívar capital del estado Bolívar hacia el Sureste del país, hermosa tierra ubicada en lo que se conoce como el Macizo Guayanés, tierra de grandes hombres, grandes misterios y grandes monumentos naturales como lo son el gran río Orinoco, la Gran sabana y los míticos Tepuyes por nombrar solo algunos.
En general me considero un ser humano tranquilo y con mucha inventiva, me dedico principalmente a la producción Musical, la ingeniería de sonido, la musicoterapia y el estudio de la Medicina natural. Les iré comentando un poco acerca de cada una de estas facetas y su evolución a lo largo del post.
My name is Espartaco Valdez (yes that is my real name), I am 30 years old and I am Venezuelan, I was born in Caracas where I also resided the last 11 years, at the moment I live in Ciudad Bolivar capital of the state of Bolivar towards the Southeast of the country, beautiful land located in what is known as the Macizo Guayanes, land of great men, great mysteries and great natural monuments like the great Orinoco river, the Great Savannah and the mythical Tepuyes to name but a few.
In general, I consider myself a quiet and very inventive human being. I am mainly dedicated to music production, sound engineering, music therapy and the study of natural medicine. I will be commenting a little bit about each of these facets and their evolution along the post.
El Músico || The Musician
Desde los 14 años empece a descubrir el increíble mundo de la música al comprar mi primera guitarra eléctrica, en esa época me interesé por el rock, el metal y todo lo que se hiciera con guitarras eléctricas, básicamente cualquier cosa que sonara con poder y que fuera un reto de tocar en la guitarra me agradaba, y me gustaba tener amigos con estilos y pensamientos tan variados como los hay en ese nicho del mundo musical.
Aprendí tocando con todo tipo de grupos y bandas de rock. Heavy metal, Power,punk, death metal, Black metal...metal vegetariano progresivo...bueno creo que entendieron el punto je, je, je.
Hoy día mi universo musical se ah expandido mucho haciéndolo quizás un poco más difícil de definir, pero en general gravita entre la música medicina, tradicional indígena y folklore, el rock/metal, la electrónica hasta clásica, soundtracks, música instrumental y de videojuegos.
Hacia finales de 2017 con la Banda Chinelo tuve oportunidad de participar en uno de los Festivales más importantes del rock nacional Venezolano. El festival Nuevas Bandas.
Since I was 14 years old I started to discover the incredible world of music when I bought my first electric guitar, at that time I was interested in rock, metal and everything that was done with electric guitars, basically anything that sounded powerful and was a challenge to play on the guitar I liked, and I liked having friends with styles and thoughts as varied as there are in that niche of the musical world.
I learned by playing with all kinds of groups and rock bands. Heavy metal, power, punk, death metal, black metal...progressive vegetarian metal...well I think they got the point Heh heh heh.
Today my musical universe has expanded a lot, making it perhaps a little more difficult to define, but in general it gravitates between medicine music, traditional indigenous and folk music, rock/metal, electronic,classical, soundtracks, instrumental and video game music.
Towards the end of 2017 with the band Chinelo I had the opportunity to participate in one of the most important festivals of Venezuelan national rock. The New Bands Festival.

El Tipo del Audio || The Sound Guy
Otra de mis grandes aficiones siempre han sido las computadoras y siempre me llamó la atención la idea de poder grabar y producir mi música y la de otros. En mi adolescencia múltiples grabaciones quiméricas salieron de mis experimentos con un micrófono barato y la tarjeta integrada de mi computadora, los cuales a pesar de no darme resultados de mucha calidad me mostraron lo que realmente quería dedicarme en esta vida, producir música, comunicar mi mensaje y ayudar a otros a comunicar el suyo.
En Caracas alrededor de 2008 comencé mis estudios de ingeniería de sonido en un Instituto de producción audiovisual llamado Taller de Arte sonoro (el nombre me parecía genial) básicamente para mí esto fue equivalente a llegar al Hogwarts del sonido y la producción audiovisual aquí en Venezuela.
Ahí aprendí todo lo necesario para desempeñarme en el mundo de la producción Audiovisual y Musical. Algo que me caracterizo siempre fue el enfoque de Do it Yourself sea como sea y con los recursos que se tengan, siempre he sabido que con poco se puede hacer mucho. Gracias a esto gané mucha experiencia trabajando en distintas áreas como Operador de Radio, Trasmisiones para televisión, haciendo jingles para publicidad, foley y música para video, edición,grabación y producción musical.
Another of my great hobbies has always been computers and I was always struck by the idea of being able to record and produce my own music and that of others. In my adolescence multiple chimerical recordings came out of my experiments with a cheap microphone and the integrated card of my computer, which in spite of not giving me very good results showed me what I really wanted to do in this life, produce music, communicate my message and help others to communicate theirs.
In Caracas around 2008 I started my sound engineering studies in an audiovisual production institute called Taller de Arte sonoro (the name seemed great to me). Basically, for me this was equivalent to getting to the Hogwarts of sound and audiovisual production here in Venezuela.
There I learned everything necessary to work in the world of audiovisual and music production. Something that has always characterized me is the focus of Do it Yourself, no matter what, and with the resources that you have, I have always known that with little you can do a lot. Thanks to this I gained a lot of experience working in different areas such as Radio Operator, TV Broadcasting, doing jingles for advertising, foley and music for video, editing, recording and music production.
El Músico Electrónico || The Electronic Musician
De la combinación de mi afición a la música y el estudio profesional del audio era natural que surgiera un interés por la música electrónica, en la cual me sumergí por bastante tiempo llamado por el desafío de aprender a crear sonidos con sintetizadores, samplers y programas digitales. A pesar de que no conecté mucho con el aspecto social o movida de la música electrónica, aprendí de todo un poco desde hip hop,trance,house hasta dubstep drum n bass y glitch. Consolide un pequeño proyecto al que le di el nombre de Esparta,basado en combinar ritmos y sonidos electrónicos con guitarras eléctricas y enfoques de rock/metal.
From the combination of my hobby to music and professional audio study it was natural that an interest in electronic music emerged, in which I immersed myself for quite some time called by the challenge of learning to create sounds with synthesizers, samplers and digital programs. Even though I didn't connect much with the social aspect or scene of electronic music, I learned about everything from hip hop,trance,house to dubstep drum n bass and glitch. I consolidated a small project I named Esparta, based on combining electronic rhythms and sounds with electric guitars and rock/metal approaches.
El Caminante || The Walker
Alrededor de 2015 mi vida tuvo un giro inesperado que desafío todo lo que hasta ese momento conocía, al participar en una ceremonia de Medicina Tradicional Indígena que consistía en tomar un brebaje conocido como Ayawaska. La experiencia me abrió a un mundo totalmente nuevo, donde pude reconectar como mi esencia más profunda e iniciar un viaje de auto descubrimiento que continúa hasta el presente, conocer gente de lo más extraordinaria y particular, y abrir mi mente a la cosmovisión de distintos pueblos indígenas del Amazonas Venezolano y Colombiano.
Around 2015 my life took an unexpected turn that challenged everything I knew up to that point, as I participated in a Traditional Indigenous Medicine ceremony that consisted of drinking the medicine known as Ayawaska. The experience opened me to a totally new world, where I was able to reconnect as my deepest essence and begin a journey of self-discovery that continues to the present, meet people of the most extraordinary and particular, and open my mind to the worldview of different indigenous peoples of the Venezuelan and Colombian Amazon.
Después de mi primeras tomas de awayaska el llamado de mi espíritu para descubrir el potencial humano que permanecía escondido dentro de mí fue tan potente que logró mantenerme asistiendo, acompañando y colaborando en estas ceremonias de medicina tradicional indígena, así como a entablar un camino de estudio y servicio en ese muy poco convencional universo de las medicinas ancestrales, la espiritualidad de las culturas indígenas, el chamanismo y el despertar de la consciencia. En los circulos de medicina a este tipo de aprendizaje con las plantas maestras se le llama Caminar.
After my firsts ceremonies of awayaska the call of my spirit to discover the human potential that remained hidden within me was so powerful that it managed to keep me assisting, accompanying and collaborating in these ceremonies of traditional indigenous medicine, as well as to embark on a path of study and service in that very unconventional universe of ancestral medicines, the spirituality of indigenous cultures, shamanism and the awakening of consciousness. In Medicine circles this is called Walking.
Respondí al llamado de sanación profunda, el llamado de la memoria de nuestra tierra, el llamado al servicio, el llamado a Cantar con sentido y propósito.
El Músico Medicina || The Medicine Musician
Una de las experiencias más hermosas e inspiradoras que pude vivenciar durante las primeras ceremonias que asistí fue observar como los indígenas curaban a las personas con su canto (sí! así mismo) y uno de los momentos cumbres de estas ceremonias es cuando un grupo de músicos empezaban a armonizar y sanar a todos los presentes con sus voces, guitarras y demás instrumentos tradicionales. Esto transformó totalmente mi visión acerca de la música y del poder que esta tiene.
Sin darme cuenta empece a formar parte de un grupo de músicos medicina que hacían la labor de elevar la vibración de las ceremonias con sus cantos. Valiéndose instrumentos que imitaban los sonidos de la naturaleza, cantos folklóricos, cantos latinoamericanos, mantras, y canciones de música tradicional indígena.
One of the most beautiful and inspiring experiences I had during the first ceremonies I attended was to watch the Indiagenous heal people with their singing (yes! that's right) and one of the highlights of these ceremonies was when a group of musicians began to harmonize and heal all those present with their voices, guitars and other traditional instruments. This totally transformed my vision about music and the power it has.
Without realizing it, I became part of a group of medicine musicians who were doing the work of raising the vibration of the ceremonies with their songs. Using instruments that imitated the sounds of nature, folk songs, Latin American chants, mantras, and songs of traditional indigenous music.
Algo empezó a adquirir sentido en mi mente y mi corazón, con cada canción recuperaba algo más de mi verdadera identidad, el recuerdo de un propósito perdido, y nacía en mí una Voz que era la misma que cantaba a través de todos en este grupo de bravos cantores.
Junto a ellos por casi 6 años he recorrido distintos pueblos y comunidades en toda Venezuela, incursionado a distintas partes del Amazonas, llevando sanación y buena energía través de la música, que para mí, ahora también es medicina.
Something began to make sense in my mind and heart, with each song I recovered something more of my true identity, the memory of a lost purpose, and a voice was born in me that was the same one that sang through everyone in this group of brave singers.
Together with them, for almost 6 years I have traveled to different towns and communities throughout Venezuela, entering different parts of the Amazon, bringing healing and good energy through music, which for me is now also medicine.
El Mago del Sur
El Mago del Sur es un proyecto artístico que nace como resultado de mis últimos 6 años de aventuras en el mundo de las Medicinas indígenas, la sanación y despertar de la consciencia a través del sonido y la música; el estudio de las plantas sagradas y ciencias de autoconocimiento, combinado con toda mi historia y aprendizaje de vida previo.
Esta Idea surge de la inspiración obtenida en el proceso de caminar, conocer y vivenciar la magia de América latina y su inmensa riqueza cultural, histórica, espiritual y humana. Con el único propósito de aportar al despertar de una mayor consciencia y memoria sobre nuestras raíces e identidad. (y por supuesto divertirme bastante en el proceso). Espero estarles compartiendo más de este proyecto muy pronto.
El Mago del Sur is an artistic project that was born as a result of my last 6 years of adventures in the world of indigenous medicines, healing and awakening of consciousness through sound and music; the study of sacred plants and science of self-knowledge, combined with all my previous life history and learning.
This idea arises from the inspiration obtained in the process of walking, knowing and experiencing the magic of Latin America and its immense cultural, historical, spiritual and human wealth. With the sole purpose of contributing to the awakening of a greater awareness and memory about our roots and identity. (and of course have a lot of fun in the process). I hope to be sharing more of this project with you very soon.

Solo una pregunta, cuando viajaste al amazona ese año, no tuviste problema con los grupos irregulares allí, paramilitares, colectivos y demás, que oíste al respectos, gracias!
No hermano,en Putumayo que es la region donde yo estuve particularmente no tuve ningun problema con eso. Igual hay que ir bien informado y sabiendo a donde llegar, en colombia se implementó en un momento un acuerdo de paz que equilibro mucho todo ese tema de guerrilas y paramilitares, hoy dia creo que sigue una discusion abierta con respecto a ese tema.De igual manera,hay que estar consciente que la selva amazonica y sus pueblos indigenas y campesinos hacen frente a multiples amenazas como explotación legal e ilegal de sus recursos naturales,petroleras,farmaceutica,narcotrafico,politicos corruptos... y un largo etc. Una realidad de la que no somos plenamente consciente en las ciudades pero importante investigar. saludos!

Hola bienvenido. La música del caminante enferma en vez de curar y no creo que alguién necesite beber awayasca para encontrarse consigo mismo pero respeto tu creencia. Me gustaría oir tu música sanadora. Cristo dijo mi paz os doy, mi paz os dejo mas no la doy como la da el mundo. Buscala también eleva tu espiritu.
