Imagine this, you wake up to a pitch black room, but something’s not right; you feel like you’ve overslept, but there’s no sun.
So you frantically feel around for the alarm clock, but your rotten hand violently knocks it off the night stand. Then you remember that the TV always displays the time on the menu screen, so you quickly grab the remote and point it toward the foot of the bed and fire off a round of UV light.
The startled TV squeals in agony as it attempts to warm up it’s coils, tubes and other things that I don’t understand. But then it happens, the most horrific thing you’ve ever experienced, you hear some news correspondent talking about the corona virus, but you can’t see him, everything is still black and you hear yourself screaming:
“Sarah, I can’t fucking see! - Oh my God, I’m fucking blind!”
So yeah, that sucked!
But blindness wasn’t the worst of it, I also went deaf in both ears and I kept getting a sharp pain in my temple that would paralyse one side of my face and I would start talking like some sort of drunk Yoda, “Head hurt it does, Sleep I go!”
I’ll be honest with you, there where a lot of times where the pain was so intense that I didn’t know if I would survive the night.
Luckily, Sarah is like some sort of herbal MacGyver, she can cure cancer with just a handful of seasoning, a matchstick, and an old can. So, she went to work on me with every barbaric and sadistic method of torture that she could find, I mean seriously, why does everything have to go in my butt, I have a mouth you know!
Sure, she steered me away from certain death, but at what cost? Who knows how much therapy will be needed fix this type of PTSD.
So as you can imagine, I’m not the same Gonzo that I used to be... I’m angry and bitter now, slapping people and disregarding the phrase: be kind, rewind! - Just kidding.
The truth is, my vision still isn’t the best and reading is very difficult, but, after a year in bed, you have no idea how much I’ve missed you guys. I would like to try to reconnect with everyone and to be apart of the Hive community again, even if it is in a limited capacity.
Luckily, I have a few stories and a ton of photoshops making fun of Ned that I never posted to @neds-intern, so I might post them here unless you guys want me to write for that old account.
Also, now that Ned and Justin Sun are gone, who's the new villain that deserves a parody account?
My questions in the comment still stand. I will not expect anynhing less than a personal signed copy of either the script or book.
I think if Sarah medicine macguyver wants to stick stuff up your butt then you should say thank you. Seems to have worked this long, don't jinx it.

Good to see you again. I can't imagine how it's been for you. Has your hearing returned at all? What is the diagnosis if you don't mind sharing?
No and I think it's due to the efforts of the Japanese government, because they're sick of rebuilding Tokyo.
Deaf was probably the wrong term to use, but I didn't want to bog the story down, it's more like two freight trains are constantly roaring past, so you do your best to try to tune it out and not go crazy, but if you're aware that someone is talking to you, you can try to focus in and piece together what they're saying.
After a heavy metal detox my left ear is back to normal, but currently, my right ear fluctuates between the sound of crashing waves and a freight train. Sarah says I mimic the sound in my sleep, so it never stops. The crazy thing is, if you put your ear to mine you'll hear it too.
Pseudotumor Cerebri (Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension)
Unfortunately, I'm not eligible for either of the medications, so all they can do is monitor me and maybe a surgery if things get bad, so we have no choice but to use old world remedies to try to cure it.

I was only gone for a year, because I went blind, deaf almost died due to a brain condition, but I've got some of my vision and hearing back and I think I'm on the mend.

It's funny you mention that because I rarely check peakd so I'd say you have impeccable timing reaching out hah.
I think the lowest I can go is 375 Hive. The next lowest on the market is 699 with the rest 1k or above. If you're still interested but need more time to gather funds, I'll gladly pull it off the market and set it aside for you.
You have no idea how tempted I am, but I can't spend that much when Hive is $2.50.
This x5 price increase has made it to where no one is getting rewarded in Hive which has killed the punk market, so no one is buying my punks. Only 5 punks sold yesterday and 3 the day before with an average price of 21 Hive.Swap.
To combat this we started a Discord community: Punk Legends, to bring in outside investors. The funny thing is 375 Hive is actually my entire balance, but since I need to help fund giveaways and purchase delegation to spread Punk awareness, I just can't spend it all, even if that punk is awesome.
