Cat tail plants as herbal medicines

Hello everyone, how are you? Hope you having a nice day - Since joining the Indonesian natural medicine community, I have started to pay more attention to every detail of the plants I find, be it ornamental or wild plants 😀. Like this morning, when I was about to leave the house for activities, I saw an ornamental plant in the yard that stood out among other plants. This flower has a unique flower name, namely a cat's tail flower, because indeed its beautiful red flower resembles a cat's tail.

Flowers that have a scientific name (Acalypha hispida Burm. F) are also known as herbal plants because of their flower and leaf content. How to use it also varies with different potion techniques, but basically this plant is the main ingredient of every herb to cure several types of diseases such as :

Vomiting blood
To treat vomiting of blood is very easy, take enough cat's tail flower, chew it with white areca nut, ginger, kencur and young pulai leaves. Perform this treatment every day. If you don't like this method, do it in the following way: Take enough cat's tail flower, then crush it with enough brown sugar and then eat.

Vitiligo
Take a handful of fresh kitten tail leaves and squeeze the size of ½ thumb then wash thoroughly, then grind until smooth. Apply it on the part of the body with white spots, then bandage it. Do it every day.

Treat intestinal inflammation
To treat colitis, take 30 grams of cat's tail flower, wash it clean, then boil it with enough water to boil.

Treat dysentery
Take about 10-30 grams of cat's tail flower, wash it and then boil it. After the water is cold, strain it. Boiled cat's tail flower water is ready to drink.

Treating worms
Worms in children can be treated with cat's tail flowers. Usually children with intestinal worms are thin but eat a lot. Overcome it by providing 15 grams of cat's tail flower, then boil it with enough water until it boils. Once cool, filter the water and then drink.
