This plant that I cultivate is still very easy to find in the village and its habit of thrives in the bush. Plants that have white flowers with a shape like five stars in our area are called cataract flowers, this is because our people often use these flowers for cataract treatment.

This plant, which has the Latin name Isotoma longiflora, has historically been included in the Camanulaceae family, generally produces a sap that resembles milk. This plant includes plants whose stems are soft because they do not form wood. Such plants can become annuals.

in my village cataract flowers are widely used by the community as a cure for eye health problems for types:
Irritation
cataract
Nearsighted
Farsighted
Pain and soreness in the eye
Cylindrical eyes

How to use it, take cataract flowers
Soak the flowers in clean water for a few minutes.
Drop 2-3 drops of from the end of the flower stalk into the eye.

although it is believed to be a traditional medicine to treat various types of eye diseases, there are also those who are reluctant to use it with cataract flower mitodes because the eyes become sore.
it is true. I myself often use cataract flower water to clean the eyes. I admit it is very painful and as if there is something in the eye. but after 5 minutes had passed, my eyes felt comfortable and refreshed

Cataract flowers have long stalks and the crown of the flower is shaped like a star. cataract plant flowers stand upright, single and usually grow around the axillary of the leaves.

The leaves have a green color and the edges of the leaves are uneven and the shape is slightly serrated. Leaf sizes are generally about 5 to 17 cm in length and 2 to 3 cm in width. The shape of the leaves is blunt, single, and the surface of the leaves is slightly rough in texture and the scraps have a kind of fine hair around them. The tip of the leaf is slightly shaped and the base is slightly narrowed
