This is a short post because I’m recovering from the sun and pool. I also have family time to get to. But this is a very important topic for me and probably others that have or will embark on significant life changes.
Not Everyone Around You Will Get It
Only a few will really understand what you’re working towards. It’s probably because they too have begun doing the work or they have been thinking about it a lot. Hopefully you’re an inspiration to them! But a lot of folks around you may not understand your choice. They may even knock it because it’s foreign to them. And some of those people are doing it because they could probably use something like it in their life, but they’re afraid to admit that. It would be an admission that they are unhappy and/or unbalanced.
Don’t Take It Personally
You are doing this for you. And certainly not for acceptance from anyone other than you. It’s not for them to understand. If they eventually do, great! If not, then that’s inconsequential to why you’ve chosen to make a change and see it through. These aren’t choices that are made for fame or fortune. They’re made out of love for ones self and self-care. Keep caring for yourself, no matter what.
*Day 11 is in the books. Tomorrow we go for a cool Dozen! Planting, mulching, and date night are on the horizon.
