St. John's wort oil is an effective home remedy for skin.
It has strong healing properties. Facilitates the healing of wounds, helps with burns, bruises, muscle pain in rheumatism, psoriasis, purulent inflammations, for massage in varicose veins, relieves the pain of insect bites.
Necessary products:
- St. John's wort
- olive oil
The herb St. John's wort is harvested at sunrise. In this way, its active substances are preserved as much as possible.
We remove the fresh flowers from the stem and place them in a glass jar.
We fill the vessel to the maximum.
We fill the jar with olive oil - the flowers should be covered.
We cover the container with gauze / cheesecloth and leave it in a sunny place for 40 days.
The resulting extract is colored dark red.
Strain through cheesecloth and place in glass bottles.
It is stored in a refrigerator. The durability of the oil is 2 years.
It is important to know that St. John's wort makes the skin more sensitive to sunlight. For this reason, you should protect the areas you have treated with the oil from the sun for a while, as unpleasant redness may occur.
Very interesting! But we don’t have this herbs here! Must look for something similar. Very useful herbal cure.
Too bad you don't have St. John's wort, but you certainly have many other useful herbs @kaminchan 😍
