Earth Healing is a weekly curation of posts from the Hive blockchain which center around the healing of Mother Earth; we specifically encourage and reward posts which promote natural harmony, rejuvenation projects and sustainable living. Natural Medicine for Mother Earth ranges from simple appreciation of her diversity & beauty, through to practical posts encouraging a new relationship with organic gardens, food and lifestyles.

Each week one post author will be chosen as a post beneficiary.

Earth Healing is particularly grateful to @naturalmedicine and @abundancetribe for generous delegations, practical support and leadership, and is curated each week by @artemislives.

We, who have been the scourge of Mother Earth and the cause of so much of her sickness, are invited to engage and contribute to her health and recovery.

Climate change scientist Lee Hannah explains how giving nature space could help curb future disease outbreaks.
EarthHealing1.jpg

Ecosystems in nature function similarly to the human body: When they are robust and healthy—which means they have diverse species and space for healthy animal populations—they are more resistant to disease. Thriving ecosystems also provide a variety of benefits to surrounding humanity, from fresh water to food to fertile soil. However, when human activities such as logging and mining disrupt and degrade these ecosystems, animals are forced closer together and are more likely to be stressed or sick, as well as more likely to come into contact with people. In these conditions, diseases bounce back and forth between wildlife populations and humans.

A visit to the Kumana National Park, a Birding Paradise...
EarthHealing2.jpg

Birds are such an important indicator of environmental health and how Mother Earth is feeling. National Parks play such an important role in helping bird populations survive in our agro-chemi world. Really liked this share of a birding paradise from Sri Lanka - add it to your travel list?

Wild Garlic Experiments
EarthHealing3.jpg

Could one of the important steps for Earth Healing simply be learning to eat and cook what grows wild and naturally around us? Instead of intensive farming, chemicals and imported foods? Leaning to use wild garlic is a nice thought, and one that restores something to the natural balance.

Death's Head Hawkmoth Caterpillar: Worms Within Worms
EarthHealing4.jpg

Where do Mother earth's critically important pollinators begin? Often as amazing grubs, bugs and caterpillars. Insects are SUCH an important part of Mother Earth's complex ecosystems, and we delight in those amazing critters! Grateful for nature photographers who lurk in itchy bushes for hours to capture them for us. If you find one of these in your garden, rehome it quickly as they make the Hungry Caterpillar look like a complete novice. LOL.

We Were Just Afraid Of How Much It Was Going To Hurt

The songs we sing and the words we share reflect our respect for Mother Earth. One might argue that that feeling is at the very core of what we each need to find in ourselves, before we become Earth Healers. This is simply beautiful.

Wrap your hills around our absence
Loosen the concrete belt cinched tight at your waist
Rest.
Breathe.
Recover.
Heal -
And we will do the same.

End the commercial seal slaughter in Canada! 🐾

At what point will the emotions, the tears and the warm fuzzies spur us to action? How long will it take before we step up and DO something? Here is one small thing you CAN do, right now. When you're done with that, put your mask on, go outside (when you're allowed) and find a garden.

This week, and every week, we make one person who is curated above a 5 percent beneficiary on this post. It DOES have to be a @naturalmedicine delegator, so this week, I'm choosing @riverflows - we love her leadership & sensitive earth-loving soul & want to show our appreciation.

Oh what! Shucks.. Now thats a suprise lol. You did an AMAZING job of this curation and I am soooo excited Natural Medicine are able to support this! I didn't see ANY of those posts and I feel so in love with our planet right now!!!!! Xxx This could not have begun at a better time. Thankyou. Xx💚💚💚💚

Thank you. I feel, more than ever, that I serve best when I engage people widely and broadly, rather than the withdraw from the world idea. I WANT people to be amazed, in love with Mother Earth and empowered to change, because they WANT to - not because they're escaping an evil system or because they feel all is lost. All is NOT lost! We can - and need to be - the natural medicine for Mother Earth, even if we are still in homeopathic doses. LOL.

Appreciate the support and the platform.

great post meditation has changed my life I think I will do a post on it as I haven't yet

I look forward to reading that soon, @luckylinkz 😊

nature photographers who lurk in itchy bushes for hours to capture them

Haha, the pleasure is all mine. Thanks for the feature

'Twas our pleasure. itch itch scratch scratch 🤣

Great new initiative! I'm very happy that there are more people who are trying to protect & preserve Mother Nature! 😃

There are sooooo many environment posts "out there" - twitter tells me there re 50 tweets per hour, on average using the #environment tag. Bringing that agenda into a mainstream one on Hive is my mission. 😊 Thanks for your support.

You can count on me! Keep up the good work!

Some wonderful reading to add to my list today! Thank you for compiling such a great curation! 💚

my pleasure @plantstoplanks - thanks for the support & encouragement for our content creators. x

Some good reading up ahead with this curration!!!! I'll have to get back into the swing of things and make time to read... somewhere between building, cleaning up, growing a garden, and making living off grid comfortable, I'll find it.

Great work @artemislives!

Why thank you, kind sir. I'm appreciating a different focus for my #environment curation - preaching to the choir in small circles doesn't change the world much, so am casting the net wider and targeting differently. I've been really pleased with the lighter vibe and different feel.❤️

A huge hug from @amico! 🤗
