Hello, people! The picture you see above is how the Moon looked from my window last night. I wish I could show you how her light bathed my city in silver, but for now, I'm content with the opportunity to bring you another edition of the Mindful Life column, and let me go on the record: the posts today are AMAZING! Seems that the Full Moon and the energy of Neptune going direct in Pisces this weekend sent everyone on a creative spree of epic proportions!

I have my own story to tell, but I'll have to write a full post about that. Meanwhile, I bring you this selection of contributions filled with profound insights about our society, posing important questions for us to elucidate the deeper processes and the prospects of our inner world and our society. I'm certain you'll enjoy each of these pieces very much!

I begin with this wonderful post by @fmbs25, where she discusses the effects of aggression on children, and how we, as adults, have a responsibility to deal with our own emotions and issues, instead of tossing them on the shoulders of our offspring. This is an important topic that we must review at a personal and collective level in our society, whether or not we're parents. What are your thoughts on the matter? Leave her a comment or write your own post!

Our children need love and understanding, not aggression!

The way we treat our children is a reflection of the way were treat each other as well, regardless of age. That, in turns, is a reflection of how we've built our civilization, another essential topic of discussion especially now. In another excellent dissertation, @indigoocean brings up some important questions about how civilization is built, and what makes us civilized. Go ahead and join the debate, share what you think of her insights!

Where civilization goes next

Continuing with the relevant questions, we have this nice post by @josevas217 about the meaning and nature of living, exhorting the community to think about personal passions, projects and the importance of living in the Present, enjoying the beauty of each day, while avoiding the trap of just going through routine motions, potentially wasting our possibilities for growth. There's much to discuss here, and I'm sure the author will be thrilled to know your opinions!

What is life?

Recently, @whatamidoing got news that his boss might not sponsor his visa in Japan from now on, which sent him on overdrive. But he's not giving up! He's actually found renewed strength and determination with these developments, and thinking big. I tend to agree with him too, sometimes we need to feel the pressure, we require that cold shower of inescapable reality to start our engines and move. Send him some good vibes of support and abundance with your comments and votes!

A kick in the ass is good for you sometimes

Next we have this lovely post by @clareartista, where she describes a beautiful place (with awesome pictures too!) filled with spiritual energy and a fascinating history, while confessing to a fear she had to open a pathway among the vegetation in spite of the strong calling she felt to do so. She finally went through with it and the experience was liberating, so she's encouraging everyone to go forth and answer our own callings. In case you don't know, she also keeps a podcast, check it out!

Clearing new paths

Speaking of clearing pathways, we have here a fascinating couple of posts about how to read our energy. The first, shared by @thisismework, talks about how to use Astrology and Quantum Physics in tandem to produce a blueprint of our bodies, minds and spirits that can allow us to delve deeper into our composition. What do you think of this information? Have you used it before or want to know more about them? Leave the author a comment and visit the page of reference.

Discovering your energetic user manual

The second post, by our dear @benavides54, explores the connection between the five elements and our own structure, in a simple but effective explanation of each element and how it influences our systems. I can tell you from experience that studying our systems this way can lead to tremendously detailed and valuable insights. Leave her a comment with your own experience and knowledge!

The relationship of the five elements of nature with humans

Then, we have this great publication by @lymepoet, which starts with a bunch of very important questions worth asking ourselves about our own processes and ideas. She then describes the way art has transformed her life, thus promoting a shift of perspectives that's allowed her to see her creativity as a means to understand herself better and feel happier. Perhaps you'd like to answer some of her questions or give her some feedback about her work!

From art for fun to art as a career

I finish this curation with a couple of awesome poems that speak of the value of accepting past pains with gratitude and reshaping ourselves through profound self-inspection, always with wholehearted expansion as our focus. Each poem is gorgeous in its own right, but together, they improve each other, because they feel as if their authors, @trucklife-family and @riverflows respectively, are just having a deep conversation around wine and snacks in a gentle moonlit night!
