Crispy onion bhaji for plant based cooking challenge week #16.

Today I would like share you Onion bhajji. This is a kind of evening snack we used to prepare in evenings. So tasty & Crispy.This is my contribution on plant power cooking challenge. Thank you @JustinParke for giving this opportunity.

Ingredients :

  • Onion
  • Chilly
  • Ginger
  • Curry leaf
  • Corn flour
  • Chilly powder
  • Oil

Take 2 medium sized onions. Chop them into tiny pieces.

Prepare sufficient amount chilly and curry leaf.

Ginger should also be sliced into very small pieces.

All these vegetables have been cooked slightly just to eliminate the raw taste with some salt.

Later the boiled vegetables are rolled in desired shapes.

And dip them in corn flour batter.

Corn flour batter is prepared by mixing corn flour, chilly powder and a bit of vegetable masala.

Boil the oil and place the rolled balls. Be careful because there is chances to get crumbled. It happens to me😅.

After the colour been changed into a brownish orange turn off the flame.

Delicious, these are one of my favorite all-time snacks. The window for entries closed several hours ago, and I have already schedule the post, but I'll take some time to log back in and include this delicious recipe.

Sounds delicious. I will definitely make some.
I remember first eating onion bhaji's at a restaurant in Jersey when i was on rugby tour about 40 years ago. They became ny favourite food, but i forgot about them. Thanks for the reminder.

ps. i notice you are using (what looks like) an aluminium pan to cook these. I highly recomend you trash that pan (or wear it on your head :-) as the aluminium leaches into the food (especially when frying) and leads to all sorts of disease (including alzheimers).
