Hi @pixiepost, interesting reflection you make, because certainly, as humans we are not static entities, and therefore, we must accept those changes that come into our lives, but with the best disposition and without forgetting our essence, principles and values. There is a saying: "the river that flows is not always the same", and it is true, the water is different, and so is life, a constant flow which we must receive and adapt in the best way. I love this! It IS all about embracing change. Sure, it's not always easy & some of it's uncomfortable, but it's necessary! Otherwise, we stay stagnant & our lives won't shift into a positive direction. I learned this in my own continuing spiritual journey...:)
