Tomorrow the collective I am a part of, will hold a 2 day Solstice celebration. Bringing the community together to honour and celebrate the sun, to connect with the seasons and in turn connect more deeply with ourselves.

I spend yesterday morning, helping to get the space ready and I am very excited for the next two days, as there has been no festivals the last year, due to the crazy restrictions.
It felt so good to come together with my tribe and be creative.It is also a wonderful opportunity for me to make some money, so I will be selling some clothes and trinkets, as well as vegan cakes and energy balls.
I hope to also take part in the open mic, with a friend of mine. We have a pretty special song, we wish to sing, with me on the Bodhran and her on the Ukulele. We are both a little nervous, which is to be expected. (I will for sure let ye know how it all went)
I am also helping to create and facilitate the ceremony, which will have Spanish, Celtic and Nordic traditions included, to really represent the diversity within our community.
We will welcome everyone to the celebration of the Summer Solstice. It is such a wonderful opportunity to acknowledge what we have achieved, and to honour our passions and creativity; to honour our connection to the earth and each other. Whilst celebrating the unity that we have created and are creating within the. When we are united we create magic, so let's come together and unite our dreams, passions, creativity and charge them with the power of the sun.
Every culture around the world has celebrated the summer solstice in their own unique way, but there are also so many similarities as well, within the way that we celebrate. Now, it is time to reconnect with that part of our culture, a part that runs deep within our DNA.
We have chosen 3 European cultures to represent us living in the valley. And we will invite those who feel a certain connection to one of the cultures, to join that group and the rest of the people, can form a circle around the 3 groups.
To begin this ceremony, we will call in our ancestors and the elements to help guide us, empower us and inspire us. Each group will have a song that will celebrate the song and an activity which will help everyone to express their creative power, whilst also connecting them on a deeper level with the natural world.
Then each group, each with a flame, will come together to light the central fire an action that will symbolize our unity and the power that comes with it.
Then we will sing the above song, which we think really embodies the spirit of our collective and the spirit of Solstice. 'A Time For Greatness'
I will be offline tomorrow and possibly the day after. I wish you all a magical Solstice and encourage you all to abandon all your inhabitants and to really embrace your creative side. To come together with others, to sing, dance, laugh and have fun. It is the time to celebrate who you are and who you are becoming.
