Ciplukan / Golden Berry (Physalis angulata) For Treating Ulcers and Acne

in Natural Medicine3 years ago

Hello Natural Medicine Lovers.
A few days ago, my neighbor who has a 6 month old baby came to the house, she asked for medicinal plants to treat "baby convulsions" which is a skin disease such as boils or ulcers that usually attack babies and children. This disease causes a red and itchy rash on the skin, so the baby feels uncomfortable and cries a lot.
This plant has been proven effective for treating ulcers and "convulsions" in infants, and children, but many do not know that this plant can also treat ulcers and ulcers in adults. In our area, this plant is called ciplukan.

Ciplukan Plant

Plants belonging to this shrub have long been known for various natural remedies, since the days of my grandparents until now, this plant has been used for treatment, especially for the treatment of ulcers, boils, rashes and acne. But these shrubs are increasingly difficult to find now, when I was in elementary school (in 1990) these plants were still often found in the fields, even in the yard, we can still find ciplukan plants.

This plant usually grows in bushes, the propagation of this plant is through old fruit seeds, which are yellow and the old fruit tastes sweet and has a distinctive smell, thus attracting the attention of animals such as birds, mice, bats to eat it, so the seeds fall to the ground. and eventually become a new plant. What is the morphology of the ciplukan plant?

I miss my childhood, finding golden berries easily and eating them. Now so difficult to find them.

Great you have them in your garden.
