The damage wasn't to the bones themselves but to the tendons and the positioning of the bones. For example the clavicle and the first rib being too close and pushing on nerves and arteries sometimes.

Have you tried massaging your stomach and breathing deep into it. Massaging your lower back with a tennis or lacrosse ball against a wall can help a lot too. That lacrosse ball saved my life!
