Merchants have multiple remittance options available to them!
The Bitshares DEX offers multiple remittance solutions for merchants!
The first we'll talk about is the built-in 'Merchant Protocol' promoted within the Bitshares spotlight page!
This is one of the simplest implementations of remittance available to merchants, all you need to do is for both yourself and the customer to own Bitshares accounts, then fill out the fields in the request prompt:
So in this payment request example, I'm generating a request for the customer to pay for the blueberry smoothie they have ordered in my shop.
Upon clicking the Create invoice string button, the following text is created:
This string is copied, and send to the customer.
The customer takes this string, and enters it into the invoice payment page:
Note the availability of a QR code scanner, enabling the customer to more easily scan the payment request, as opposed to copy/pasting text at a cash register.
Once the copied string has been entered into the payment raw invoice data text area, the payment invoice will render:
Upon clicking the Pay x BTS to user button, the transfer will execute in the payer's account, resulting in a 3 second long payment time, after which the customer can safely walk away from the cash register confident they've paid for their delicious blueberry smoothie.
If interested in keeping receipts for your purchases, there's an optional print receipt button to keep a personal record of the transaction!
