It's relatively new to me, it's a less complex system, you blog and get rewarded, or curate, and get rewarded from a central pool. There's no Publish0x currency to earn, you earn ETH, AMPL or other currencies.
I applied to be a writer yesterday and got approved after sending them a link to a blog that I write, it seems a fairly straightforward process to get involved. Good luck!
