This is my all-time favorite bread. I remember when I was young I used to wake up between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. in the morning just to catch the seller of this bread. The seller is just walking and would shout "Pandesal!, Pandesal in Avenue!" at the dark and cold morning! This experience of mine is at Guimba, Nueva Ecija. The bakery named "Avenue Bakery" is the best maker of pandesal in Guimba back in the day. Sigh! Those were the days. Wala na yata yung Avenue Bakery ngayon, Mang Inasal na and pumalit sa location nya.
