Warm greetings, Foodies Bee Hive community, in this post, a delicious and quick lunch, chicken in honey mustard sauce.
Ingredientes
- 3 muslos de pollo, pueden ser también pechugas.
- 1/2 cebolla.
- Sal, pimienta y sasonador al gusto.
- 1 cuharada de margarina o mantequilla.
- 3 cucharadas de mostaza.
- 2 cucharadas de miel.

Paso 1
Salpimentaremos el pollo y lo llevaremos a dorar en una sartén con dos o tres cucharadas de aceite.
Luego de que haya dorado por todas partes, lo retiraremos de la sartén y reservaremos.
Step 1
Season the chicken with salt and pepper and brown it in a frying pan with two or three tablespoons of oil.
After it has browned on all sides, remove it from the pan and set aside.
Paso 2
En un recipiente, mezclaremos la mostaza, la miel y sazonador al gusto, agregaremos una taza de agua y reservaremos.
En la misma sartén donde doramos el pollo, pondremos a sofreír la cebolla cortada en cubos pequeños, con la mantequilla. Cuando haya transparentado le agregaremos la mezcla de mostaza miel y agua, y reintroduciremos el pollo.
Taparemos y dejaremos cocinar por una media hora a fuego medio o hasta que la salsa haya reducido y espesado un poco.
El resultado será un rico y jugoso pollo con un sabor agridulce que serviremos bañado con un poco de la salsa y la cebolla. Lo podemos acompañar con papas al vapor o pure y ensalada. En casa lo comimos con arroz con fideos, tajadas de plátanos fritos y ensalada de lechuga.
Step 2
In a bowl, mix the mustard, honey and seasoning to taste, add a cup of water and set aside.
In the same pan where we browned the chicken, we will sauté the onion cut into small cubes with the butter. When it is transparent, add the honey mustard mixture and water, and add the chicken again.
Cover and let it cook for half an hour over medium heat or until the sauce has reduced and thickened a little.
The result will be a rich and juicy chicken with a sweet and sour flavor that we will serve with some of the sauce and onion. It can be served with steamed potatoes or mashed potatoes and salad. At home we ate it with rice noodles, fried plantain slices and lettuce salad.
