Making French Fries.

How to make french fries

French fries, also known as chips, are a popular snack or side dish made from potatoes that are cut into thin strips and fried until crisp. Here's a basic recipe for making french fries:

Component:

4 large potatoes

Oil for frying (vegetable or canola oil)

salt to taste)

Instruction:

Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips about 1/4 inch wide. You can use a sharp knife or mandoline slicer to do this.

Wash the potato strips in cold water to remove excess starch. Then, put half a teaspoon of chili powder, half a teaspoon of coriander powder and a little cumin on the potatoes and dry them.

Heat oil to 375°F (190°C) in a large pot or deep fryer.

Carefully drop handfuls of potato strips into the hot oil, being careful not to overcrowd the pot. Fry the potatoes for 3-5 minutes or till they turn golden brown and crisp.

Use a slotted spoon or spider strainer to remove the french fries from the oil and place them on a plate covered with paper towels to drain excess oil.

Repeat with the remaining potato strips, frying them until all the potatoes are cooked through.

Once all the french fries are cooked, sprinkle salt to taste and serve immediately when they are hot and crispy.

I like french fries but I am not at all good at cooking so whenever I visit Mcdonald, I make sure to have it there. This looks good on the plate.
