Here's a short back story before we get to yummy food part, The event’s of this post took place on the 12th of February 2022, It was a bright sunny day as usual in Mumbai and I didn’t really have a lot to do that day. I spent the day at a friends home just processing images of my trip to Jaipur a week back.
A friend of mine Fiona, who stays an hour away in Panvel, Navi Mumbai was feeling a bit low due to a lot of things going on in her life so I decided to pay her a visit once her shift at work got over.
Caught a train from Thane Station and went towards Panvel and dropped by Starbucks at Orion mall to meet Fiona, we were there for almost 2 hours I guess talking about whats going on in both of our messed up lives 😂 it was pretty much like a therapy session.

Post Starbucks we decided to head out to Pop Tates which is a pretty famous line of bar & restaurants in Mumbai and the food here is to die for! We placed our orders for a few starters and went to the hot box for a quick smoke and thats were we met Chadi Ayari (For Indian Users His Name Is Pronounced As Shady & Not Chadi 🤣) whos from Tunisia and is a Software Engineer & his friend Prithvi Shetty whos a Hindi Rapper they also turned out to be younger to us 😂 we were all talking about how shitty life has been treating us and what happening in the city currently.
They asked us to join them and we happily obliged and at the table there was another friend of their's Sudheera who happens to be a photographer in the making so the two of us got to talking about photography 😂
It was around 9 PM I suppose when we decided to wrap up and they decided to go out on a food tour in a place called Belapur and we had to catch a local train to head there, Fiona couldn’t make it as it was getting late and she had to go back home so I decided to go off with these guys to Belapur.
Once we reached CBD Belapur which was the name of the railway station another friend of Chadi met us there, Angad Singh who's from Punjab, India but was studying in Tunsia alongside Chadi. Well this food street is about 5-7 minutes walk from the railway station.
You have multiple vendors at this location and the aroma of food just fills the air, you can find pretty much all of India's iconic street food here plus the place is pretty crowded at most times.
I picked up a nice plate of yummy buttery Mutton Kheema (Minced Mutton) Pav Bhaji for myself and topped it off with two extra pavs later on, this one just hit the spot, it was so damn juicy also oily but I can ignore that at times 😂 if its soul food
Prithvi ordered a nice bowl of Triple Schezwan Noodles and the reason it's called Triple Schezwan is because it consists of Fried Rice, Noodles and a thick Schezwan Gravy and is usually topped with a fried omelette.

Chadi had ordered a bowl of Chicken Man-chow Soup from which I managed to snag a good shot of Prithvi having a sip of it.
You see these cutlets here ? Hands Down The Best Fucking Chicken Cutlets I've Ever Had I packed 5-6 of them to take it back to Thane with me because I wanted @lifeinanutshell and her Husband Darshak to try them (We Had Them The Next Day For Breakfast And They Loved It 🤤) These yummy cutlets were like Rs 15 ($ 0.20) a piece and I pretty much had 5 to myself uggh they were so fine.
Next up for desserts we had some iconic Falooda's and this dessert is popular throughout India, no matter where you go you will always find someone in some corner making Falooda's
These super tasty desserts are usually made by mixing rose syrup, vermicelli, and sweet basil seeds with milk and is most often served with
vanilla or strawberry ice creams.
It's was around 12 AM when we decided to wrap up and I took a quick selfie before leaving the station. You have from Prithvi on the left with the glasses and right behind him you have Chadi in Maroon Tee and behind him you have Sudheera. It was truly a night of epic proportions well to my stomach at least 😂 and this has to be the first time i've gone out with a bunch of complete random strangers well to be honest they baited me with food so 😂 Yeah who knew shit could have gone sideways too you know, Choose your strangers wisely 😂
I still have a good number of posts to put up and I just feel so lazy these days to write, I've been held up with back to back travel plans with my next one coming up on the 3rd of April 😪 anyways thats all for now, See you in the next post ❤️
