Hello! Happy weekedend hive friends.
I am not adventurous enough when it comes to food. I usually just stick to food that I am used to eating. Tasting new flavors or trying new foods is not something I would do out of curiosity and just for the sake of trying it. I only get to try new food when someone would take me to a place or a restaurant or if someone persuade me to try it.
One of our favorite bonding with the husband when he comes home during long weekends or holidays is to go shopping for our household needs. When he came home in June, he brought me to a food stall called Shawarma Shack for a snack before we headed to go shopping. The food stall is located in Metro Supermarket in Hilongos, Leyte.
This would be the second time I am eating shawarma. My first time to try shawarma was when I didn't know I was pregnant yet and my taste buds wasn't in its normal state 😅. So my first taste of shawarma was not a delicious experience for me during that time.
When the hubby told me to try it, I was kinda hesitant and thought I wouldn't be liking it. So I only ordered fries while he ordered the beef shawarma in a bowl. It turned out what he ordered was buy 1 take 1 so we had 1 for each.
We paired our orders with something refreshing. We decided to order shakes from Thirsty. They have a variety of fruit shakes to choose from. Mango, pineapple, buko, watermelon, and strawberry are among the flavors. I ordered buko shake which is my favorite and the hubby choose pineapple shake. What I love about Thirsty is that they serve real fruit shakes.
After our orders were complete, I took a bite first of the fries. As usual, fries is an all time favorite snack and with the added flavors of mustard, mayonnaise and meat, it tasted even better. It was good. The shake was good and refreshing as well. Thirsty shakes never dissapoints. So for the exciting part, taking a taste of beef shawarma. I have less expectation that my taste buds would like it since my first time trying it wasn't so good. As I took a bite, to my delight, it was was super delicious. I even finished first the shawarma than the fries. I absolutely loved it. I was glad the hubby took me here to have some tasteful experience with shawarma.
I would definitely come back here and surely will recommend it to my friends or family.

Shawarma Shack is such a cool stall that I probably say it is the great to find snack there. I love the texture, yess I also expect that it was super delicious too.

Hello taha. Buko is a young coconut meat. The one which is soft enough you can just scrape it. Buko made into shake is really delicous.

Shawarma sa Leylam gyud is one of the best. I haven't tried that brand. I hope there's a branch in our place. It looks appetizing.

Lami man diay ning shawarma mam. Mao ra sad ni shawarma brand nga naa dri sa duol. Wa pako katry ug lain. Peeo murag lami ghapon regardless sa brand.
pag buntis nako, 2x ka shawarma rice ako ge order kay grabeh akong gutom plus Thirsty mango shake. pagka lami nga combination. kumakaon kaayo ko pag buntis.
Cgurubtugod sa spices mao wa ko ganahi ani pagbuntis. Depende ra jud sa pagbuntis.
haha katong nagluto pork curry akong bana, diretso suka oi. pero nakapangayo pa kog sabaw sa manok na kinamunggayan na ok gyud ko. haha
